An Un-welcomed Guest
Allow me to introduce devastation.
It will be visiting here awhile.
Hands to the Tow
Put some strength into it; heave to!
Let me hear your knees knock, your back break and knuckles crack.
Human Desires
Nagging, luring, compelling, relieving;
confounding, boastful, rebellious, deceiving;
decaying, undoing, concluding, demeaning.
An Acceptable Start
Give me your hand and the Lord your heart;
we will stumble and soar;
an acceptable start.
A Friend
I need a friend to travel beside me, all along this bumpy road;
to reassure and guide my stumbling steps,
help me bear-up, under this shifting load.
Fool's Part
Sometimes we boast,
and with confidence, that we know the way; then start.
Although if we really knew, we wouldn't play the fool's part.
Generous Share
The Lord takes our sour juice and makes lemonade,
and we give Him much credit,
for the mess we made.
Judgement
Abandon, anger, disregard; anathema's day of reckoning.
None to lean on then but self,
although abundant help beckoning.
Employment Opportunities
Some work just won’t inspire.
Did you read that advertisement?
It says “Fools for-hire.”
Wasted Air
Essential as the air we breathe;
good advice,
blowing in the breeze.
Determined
Sometimes, even a word to the wise is insufficient.
The Great Accuser
The Great Accuser is your prosecutor,
a damned witness against the innocents’ plea.
The judgement long ago reserved for desolation,
He petitions now for thee!
Ended
And his life faded, in a puff of smoke.
Judgment Day
Okay guys, pull-up the ladder;
time to shut the gates.
